I am seeking the seat on the CCSD Board of Trustees which represents Summerlin and surrounding areas (District E). I love our community, and I love public education.
I am dedicated to providing high-quality education to students in Clark County.
Please, read below about my mission, history, and motivation.

Many parents, students and even educators have lost faith in our public education system in recent years. We’ve suffered many afflictions: declining school ratings, chronic absenteeism, mismanagement of funds, negotiations breakdowns leading to protesting teachers, the list goes on and on. I plan to find solutions to these complex problems by engaging with my community.
As a 19-year veteran teacher and a father of two, I am running for a seat on the Clark County School Board with a mission to enhance transparency and accountability within our education system. My goal is to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of our students and their future, not to benefit outside interests that profit from struggling public education.
It's time for the school board to be made up of people who listen, and interact with the community around them. Trustees are elected to be the voice of the people in education. This is not what we have now.
I’ve been a teacher for almost twenty years. I’ve seen many amazing, challenging, and heart-breaking moments on both sides of the school’s doors. I’ve been a teacher for almost twenty years. I’ve seen many amazing, challenging, and heart-breaking moments on both sides of the school’s doors. I’m proud that part of my experience includes a time in which I taught English in China. I’ve instructed many diverse students, along multiple grade levels, in many school settings. I am a proud husband and father to two wonderful sons who attend our CCSD schools. Since first becoming a licensed teacher, I continued my education and earned a master’s degree which I use in my current position as an Early Childhood Education teacher, preparing our youngest students for the great educational journey that lies ahead of them. Setting up children for success has always been, and will always be, a force that has moved me. I am choosing this time to seek the important work of improving our school system as your elected Trustee, so that in the future can also share my pride in a strong education system for all.
I have profound concern over the current state of public education in Southern Nevada. You do too, or you wouldn’t be here. I have profound concern over the current state of public education in Southern Nevada. You do too, or you wouldn’t be here. The parents, educators, and whether they realize it or not, the students, are sick and tired of ceaseless quotes and rankings that show our area schools as “underperforming”, “wasteful” and “ineffective”. It breaks my heart that so many stakeholders have lost confidence in our local schools.
A great deal of this has come from programs led by outside organizations like Council for Great City Schools that seek to ruin public education and profit from your taxes. Private schools are fine for some, but our generation’s legacy will be judged by how we teach our children. All of them. Public education is the cornerstone of our society, and our district has a great number of problems we can fix together. I’m ready to do the work, I’m counting on you to put me in the seat which will allow me to do it.
I love talking issues with constituents. Send me an email, we can meet and chat about your concerns with Clark County Schools.
